DESCRIPTION:Note this event has been canceled.\n\nThe Illinois Family Leade
 rs Collaboration presents the 14th annual Family Conference on April 4 at 
 the Spalding Pastoral Center in Peoria.\n\nThis year's conference theme is
  "The Power of Parents: Using Your Voice to Make a Difference."\n\nThe con
 ference is for adult family members and caregivers of children (birth to 2
 2) with developmental delays or disabilities. Service providers and educat
 ors are also welcome.\n\nThe cost is $15 per family member and $25 per pro
 fessional. Continuing education credits are available.\n\nThe conference p
 rovides an opportunity for parents to learn a variety of ways to make a di
 fference\, not just for their child or family but on a much broader level.
 \n\nParticipants will learn how the tools of storytelling can help unwrap 
 dreams and ideas to advocate for children so they have a full and inclusiv
 e life.\n\nParticipants will also lave with ideas\, tools and strategies f
 or enhancing their well-being as caregivers and advocates of children with
