DESCRIPTION:A regional braille competition for Illinois students who are bl
 ind or visually impaired in grades first through 12th\n\nJoin the Illinois
  School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) for the 2024 Central Illinois Reg
 ional Braille Challenge on Feb. 14 from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.\n\nThe Braille
  Institute started the Braille Challenge to encourage students to practice
  their braille literacy skills. Regional competitions take place throughou
 t North America. Blind or visually impaired students in first through 12th
  grades who can read braille are eligible to compete. Two regional competi
 tions will be in Illinois.\n\nISVI will host competitors and their familie
 s from throughout central Illinois.\n\nStudents will enjoy a day of:\n\n 	
 Fun and friendship\n 	Competing and showing off their braille skills\n 	En
 tertainment and awards presentation\n\nParents can spend time listening t
 o speakers and learning about a variety of topics while their child is com
 peting.\n\nSee the Braille Challenge flyer for more details about both eve
 nts.\n\nYou must sign and return permission forms for the competition at I
