DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nThis event is now a VIRTUAL\, day-long seminar focus
 ing on government benefits and financial planning for persons with develop
 mental disabilities and their families\n\nThe 6th Annual Transition Summit
  "Focus on: Finances" is being held online on Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. - 3:15 
 p.m.\n\nFamilies\, educators\, providers and community members are invited
  to attend. The registration fee is $10.\n\nConnect to Community\, in part
 nership with the Village of Hoffman Estates Commission for People with Dis
 abilities and the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO
 )\, is hosting this event. The interactive and informative sessions are op
 en to anyone who wants to learn more about:\n\n 	SSI\, SSDI\, HFS: Underst
 anding the Alphabet Soup of Government Benefits\nPresenter Sherri Schneide
 r\, President\, Family Benefit Solutions\, will cover the who\, what\, whe
 re\, and when of the major government benefit programs. A large emphasis w
 ill be placed on IL Medicaid\, which is needed for waiver programs.\n 	Spe
 cial Needs Trusts and Related Planning Options\nAttorney Nancy Spain\, Co-
 Founder of Spain\, Spain &amp\; Varnet\, will provide an overview of speci
 al needs trusts. Her presentation includes how and when to establish a spe
 cial needs trust and how ABLE act accounts can enhance the benefit of a sp
 ecial needs trust.\n 	Retiring for Three: Planning Tips for the Special Ne
 eds Parent\nAn in-depth look with presenter Mary Anne Ehlert\, President &
 amp\; Founder\, Protected Tomorrows\, Inc.\, at important retirement plann
 ing facts to consider when you also have a child with a disability.\n\n\n 
 	Simplifying the Complex: The Essential Elements of a Special Needs Plan\n
 Mike Walther\, President &amp\; Founder\, Oak Wealth Advisors\, will walk 
 participants through a comprehensive review of the information families ne
 ed to improve planning for their loved ones with special needs. Walther wi
 ll also field questions to ensure that attendees leave feeling equipped to
