DESCRIPTION:A free event providing transitional services information and re
 sources for caregivers/families\, eighth grade and high school-aged studen
 ts and teachers in Monroe\, Randolph and St. Clair counties\n\nThe Perando
 e Transition Planning Committee is presenting the 2023 Transition Fair on 
 March 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.\n\nThe event will be in the new gym at Red B
 ud High School\, 815 Locust St.\, in Red Bud.\n\nThe event is open to stud
 ents in eighth grade and high school students\, their parents and teachers
 .\n\nPresentations will include:\n\n 	9:30 to 10 a.m. -Attorney Ashley Day
  on guardianship\n 	10:15 to 10:45 - Southwestern Illinois College Financi
 al Office on applying for financial aid\n 	11 to 11:30 a.m. - Attorney Ash
 ley Day on special education needs planning\n\nAttendees can get state ID 
 cards through the Illinois Secretary of State Mobile Unit (please see flye
 r for documents needed) and information about:\n\n 	Community and college 
 resources\n 	Career planning\n 	Transitional services for independent livi
 ng\n\nA representative from the University of Illinois Chicago's Division 
 of Specialized Care for Children will also be on hand to answer questions
