SUMMARY:Camp Little Giant - Dynamic Duos Overnight Camp for Teens in Makand

DESCRIPTION:An overnight camp for teens with developmental\, cognitive or p
 hysical disabilities and their college/adult aged peers\n\nCamp Little Gia
 nt Dynamic Duos Session 1 will run from July 16 to 21.\n\nThe camp is loca
 ted on the shores of Little Grassy Lake near the Shawnee National Forest.\
 n\nA camp “buddy” will be paired with your camper.  The buddy will be
  a bunk mate\, meal mate and will provide special attention and a helping 
 hand throughout the week.\n\nCampers will have fun participating side-by-s
 ide in traditional summer camp activities that include:\n\n 	Hiking and ro
 ck climbing\n 	Swimming\n 	Kayaking and fishing\n 	Arts and crafts\n 	Team
  building activities\n\nThis camp may be a good fit for  your camper if:\
 n\n 	They would benefit from an inclusive environment supporting independe
 nce\, building a community\, being empowered physically and emotionally\, 
 and having fun.\n 	They have cerebral palsy\, Down syndrome\, autism\, spi
 na bifida or other disability limiting participation in a large traditiona
 l camp.\n 	They enjoy companionship with a 1:1 camp buddy.\n\nThis camp is
  not a medical/treatment/therapy-based camp. Dynamic Duos campers should h
 ave the skills to handle handle the sleep-away-from-home aspects of the ca
 mp program and taking care of their own person al needs with prompting whe
 n needed.\n\nSee the Dynamic Duos essential eligibility criteria (EEC) for
  more details. If a camper has a caregiver that will provide services allo
 wing camper to meet EEC\, they may be considered for acceptance on a case-
 by-case basis.\n\nThe cost is $1\,250 per camper. For financial aid or mor
