DESCRIPTION:Free one-day grief retreat for children ages 6-14.\n\nCamp MAGI
 C (Mending Grief in Children) is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8 at 
 Shriner's Park Shelter in Mt. Vernon.\n\nCamp MAGIC is a one-day grief ret
 reat for children ages 6-14 who have experienced the death of a loved one.
  Through the camp\, children will find new ways to identify and express th
 eir grief through a variety of activities\, including making memory boxes\
 , reading books\, releasing butterflies and more.\n\nStaffed by profession
 als and trained volunteers\, Camp MAGIC is free of charge.\n\nEach camper 
 will be paired with a volunteer to provide companionship\, support and sup
 ervision throughout all activities for the duration of the camp stay. Pare
 nts and caregivers are encouraged to attend.\n\nCamp MAGIC exists to:\n\n 
 	Provide children with a safe place to express their grief\n 	Engage child
 ren in special activities to help normalize their feelings\n 	Help childre
 n experience a sense of togetherness with other children who have lost lov
 ed ones\n 	Promote communication between children and their parents regard
