DESCRIPTION:A day camp for area youth ages 5 to 7 with congenital or acquir
 ed heart defects\n\nJoin St. Louis Children's Hospital for Camp Rhythm "Mi
 ni" Day Camp from July 31 to Aug. 2. This camp is for younger children age
 s 5 to 7 born with a heart defect.\n\n"Mini" Day Campers will attend camp 
 for three days during this week.\n\nCamp Rhythm is a safe environment wher
 e campers with congenital or acquired heart defects can make make new frie
 nds and memories.\n\nThe camp aims to help campers:\n\n 	Know they are not
  alone in living with heart disease\n 	Create an environment where it is "
 normal" to be sick\, tired\, have scars and take medication\n 	Feel accept
 ed and build confidence\n\nMedical staff includes a minimum of a nurse and
  a pediatric cardiologist who are available at all times. Camp staff also 
 includes a certified child life specialist\, pediatric social worker\, car
 diac nurses and St. Louis Children's Hospital volunteers.\n\nAll volunteer
 s are 18 years old or older and go through training and screenings at St. 
 Louis Children's Hospital before camp.  Camp counselors are adults famili
 ar with heart defects\, including some former pediatric cardiac patients.\
