DESCRIPTION:Health fair focused on services for individuals who have hearin
 g impairments.\n\nChicago Deaf Awareness Day is hosted by the American Si
 gn Language Department at Columbia College Chicago. This event showcases 
 agencies and businesses with community resources for individuals who are 
 deaf\, deaf and blind\, hard of hearing\, late deafened and interpreters.
  Special entertainment includes Sunshine 2.0 - a professional traveling t
 heatre troupe based in Rochester\, New York - a performance by Peter Cook 
 and a voter registration drive by Equip for Equality.\n\nDeaf Awareness Da
 y is hosted by Columbia College Chicago at "Stage Two" on Sept. 28\, 10 a
 .m. to 3 p.m. Registration is not required\, and this event is free and o
 pen to the public.
