 vent on May 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This event is the weekly practice sessi
 on for the Adaptive Adventures' Team Blue dragon boat team.\n\nPractice is
  held at Frances Mennone Boat House\, 1020 W. Weed St.\, in Chicago. Parti
 cipants are expected to arrive promptly at 5:30 p.m. so that everyone is r
 eady and on the water at 6 p.m.\n\nHave you ever wanted to race down the C
 hicago River in a dragon boat?\n\nNow's your chance.\n\nEach week\, Team B
 lue meets to practice and prepare for the China Town Dragon Boat Festival 
 and the Chicago International Dragon Boat Festival\, where dragon boat tea
 ms from across the country will compete.\n\nParticipants must be 18 years 
 or older\,  able to self-transfer up or down by 12-plus inches\, and be c
 omfortable in close confines with other athletes in narrow seating. Swimmi
 ng skills are recommended.\n\nTraining will be progressive and include:\n\
 n 	Paddling techniques\, being efficient and effective with your new unit\
 n 	Moving the dragon boat with speed and stealth\n 	Improving fitness\n\nR

 nd.\n\nParticipants are asked to attend as many practices as possible.\n\n
