DESCRIPTION:A hands-on workshop with the first Latina aerospace engineer fo
 r deaf and hard of hearing youth to learn about science\, technology\, eng
 ineering and mathematics (STEM)\n\nSpend spring break with the Chicago Par
 k District Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs at the Deaf Kids Code worksho
 p on April 11-15 from 10 a.m - 3 p.m. each day.\n\nThe workshop will be he
 ld at Gage Park 2411 W. 55th St.\, in Chicago.\n\nDo you like computers an
 d building robots?\n\nIf you're in grades fifth - 12th and interested in c
 omputer science\, technology and design\, this Deaf Kids CODE workshop is 
 the place for you!\n\nLearn about STEM alongside the first deaf Latina aer
 ospace engineer who will help you take your ideas and turn them into reali
 ty. Participants will plan and build inventions and apps. Laptops and tabl
 ets will be provided.\n\nActivities will also include free time\, games an
 d sports throughout the day.\n\nEach teen must bring their own lunch and d
 rinks. Snacks will be provided.\n\nReservations must be made by April 1.\n
