DESCRIPTION:Free\, hands-on computer science and technology workshops for y
 outh in fifth through eighth grade who are deaf and hard of hearing and th
 eir families\n\nJoin the Chicago Park District Deaf and Hard of Hearing Pr
 ograms for "Deaf Kids Code."  Youth and family events will be from 1 to 3
  p.m. on:\n\n 	Jan. 13\, Feb. 3 and March 2 (Youth workshops)\n 	Jan. 27 a
 nd March 23 (Family coding events)\n\nDeaf Kids Code provides youth with h
 earing loss powerful computer and engineering skills to prepare for the fu
 ture.\n\nParticipants ages 10 to 14 will have a blast creating\, developin
 g and presenting their own:\n\n 	Portfolio\n 	Computer coding\n 	Resume wr
 iting skills\n\nCoding isn't just for the kids! Families will also have tw
 o opportunities to learn new skills and face fun challenges together.\n\nA
 ll activities take place in partnership with the Kids Code Foundation.\n\n
