 s  Differently-Abled Student Empowerment Series kicks off with "Vision Fo
 r Your Future" on March 9 from 7 - 8 p.m. This is the first webinar of thi
 s three-part series.\n\nSelf-advocacy skills are critical for success in t
 he adult world. The prime time to work on those skills is while students a
 re still in school.  However\, students who have Individualized Education
  Programs (IEPs) may not know how to talk about their own learning needs o
 r explain them to others.\n\nIn Vision for Your Future\, presenter Dr. Key
 on L. Anderson will inspire and motivate parents and youth to work togethe
 r to develop a positive vision.\n\nAnderson has encountered and overcome m
 any hardships while seeking a better future. One of his biggest challenges
  was learning how to live and succeed with dyslexia\, an information proce
 ssing disorder.\n\nAnderson is an author and completed his Doctor of Educa
 tion in Educational Leadership at the University of Southern California (U
 SC). He is living his "dream come true" and continues to serve as a role m
 odel in helping students with disabilities fight stigma\, strengthen relat
 ionships and be involved in their individualized education program (IEP).\
