SUMMARY:Disabilities Awareness Walk and Resource Fair in Chicago
DESCRIPTION:Walk and health fair for parents\, children\, family members\,
  community members\, professionals\, educational staff\, etc. who are in
 volved in the care of extraordinary children.\n\nThe Second Annual United
  Communities for Diverse Abilities Walk and Resource Fair to increase awar
 eness is on Saturday\, Sept. 15\, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Participants ar
 e encouraged to wear a t-shirt representing a diagnosis. Be as inventive 
 and creative as you wish.  Stay after the walk to receive information on 
 therapy\, health and safety\, YMCA programs\, advocacy\, financial assista
 nce and much more.\n\nScheduled activities include:\n\n 	10 a.m. - Parent/
 Child Yoga - Multi-Purpose Room\n 	11 a.m. - Disability Awareness Walk - 2
 -3 laps around track\n 	12 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Resource Fair - Gym\n 	12 p.m.
  to 2 p.m. - IEP Training - Multi-Purpose Room\n\nThe event also features 
 a bounce house and free face painting.\n\nLimited healthy snacks and addit
 ional food for purchase will be available.\n\nOur Chicago staff will also 
 be available to explain our program and how we help connect children with 
 special healthcare needs to services and resources.
