  the Deaf in New York
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for college-bound high school students who are d
 eaf or hard of hearing to explore career options in business\, computer sc
 ience\, engineering and more!\n\nJoin the Rochester Institute of Technolog
 y's National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) for "Explore your Fut
 ure."  Session II will run from July 19 to 24.\n\nExplore Your Future (EY
 F) is a six-day career exploration program at the Rochester Institute of T
 echnology. The program is for college-bound high school students who are d
 eaf or hard of hearing and will enter their sophomore\, junior or senior y
 ear in the fall of 2025.\n\nStudents will gain hands-on experience in vari
 ous career areas\, including the arts\, business\, computer science\, engi
 neering\, health sciences and more.\n\nEYF participants will work with car
 eer counselors and faculty in small group settings. Activities will help s
 tudents:\n\n 	Determine career interests and learning styles as they begin
  thinking about college\n 	Develop decision-making skills\n 	Build confide
 nce and independence\n 	Make new friends from all over the country\n 	Have
  fun!\n\nOn the final day of each session\, EYF offers a parent/guardian w
 orkshop providing strategies for ensuring your student successfully transi
 tions from high school to college.\n\nThe cost is $850 and covers room\, b
 oard and all activities. Limited financial aid is available for students w
