DESCRIPTION:An evening of play and learning for children with special needs
  and their families.\n\nFamily Night Out at the DuPage Children's Museum i
 s scheduled for Jan. 27 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The after-hours event provi
 des an evening of play and learning for children with special needs and th
 eir families\, focusing on the autism spectrum and other sensory processin
 g disorders as well as physical disabilities.\n\nFinding places for the wh
 ole family to play without stress can be difficult\, but Family Night Out
  allows for a time to experience the museum in a calmer\, less crowded en
 vironment. Some lighting and sound will be muted\, and additional sensory 
 activities and cool down spaces will be provided.\n\nAdmission is free bu
 t registration is required on the event's registration page.\n\nIn an effo
 rt to provide a sensory-friendly environment\, admission will be capped at
  225 guests.\n\nComplimentary snacks and beverages will be available. Atte
 ndees are welcome to bring their own food.\n\nAnother Family Night Out is 
 scheduled for Feb. 16 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Advanced registration is also re
 quired for the February event.
