SUMMARY:Free Virtual and In-Person Family Sign Language Classes in Chicago
DESCRIPTION:Free virtual and in-person sign language classes in English and
  Spanish will begin in August\nThe Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) will pro
 vide Family American Sign Language (ASL) classes in both English and Spani
 sh from August through September.\nThe classes are free to family members 
 of children from birth through high school who are deaf\, deafblind or har
 d of hearing. Extended family members are also welcome. You do not have to
  be an Illinois resident to participate.\nClass instructors are deaf and c
 ommunicate using ASL and written English. The classes will not use any sou
 nd or audio.\nOne in-person Family Beginner&#8217\;s class in English will
  meet at the CHS Office on 2017 N. Mendell\, Suite 3NE\, in Chicago. This 
 class will meet on Wednesdays\, Aug. 13 through Sept. 17\, from 5 to 6 p.m
 .\n\nRegister for the in-person Family Beginners class in English.\n\nAll 
 other family classes are online only:\n\nThe Spanish Family ASL Class will
  meet on Tuesdays\, Aug. 12 to Sept. 16\, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.\n\nRegist
 er for the Family Class in Spanish (Clases de Lenguaje de Senas Americano 
 (ASL) en Espanol).\n\n\nThe English Beginner and Beyond Beginner ASL class
 es will meet on Wednesdays from Aug. 13 to Sept. 17.\n\nThe Beginners clas
 s is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Register for the Family Beginners class in Eng
 lish.\nThe Beyond Beginners class is from 7 to 8 p.m. Register for the Fam
 ily Beyond Beginners ASL class in English.\n\n\n\nSee the Family Sign Lang
 uage class schedule for all class details\, meeting dates and times\, and
