SUMMARY:"Friendships: The High School Years" Support Group in Dixon
DESCRIPTION:Support group program for high school-aged children to learn a
 bout friendships and social skills.\n\nFlorissa is a centralized service f
 acility for children (0-18 years of age) with development\, behavioral\, s
 ocial or emotional needs. The facility offers the "Friendships: The High 
 School Years" program to help high school-aged children learn social ski
 lls necessary to make and keep friends and grow in their understanding of 
 social cues and rules across adolescence.\n\nThis group provides a safe pl
 ace to talk about individual goals and struggles and is appropriate for te
 ens entering ninth through 12th grade who struggle with self-awareness an
 d appropriate behavior with peers\, have trouble understanding social inte
 ractions or want to better understand the social world around them. Parti
 cipants will also learn to recognize individual strengths that can be used
  in social situations and healthy use of social media and technology.\n\nF
