DESCRIPTION:A free\, two-part educational training focused on Individual Ed
 ucation Program (IEP) and transition planning for high school-aged youth\,
  young adults and their parents\n\nFamily Matters Parent Training &amp\; I
 nformation Center (FMPTIC) is hosting "IEPs: Planning and Development" on 
 Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.\n\nThis is the first of two workshops foc
 used on helping students move from school to adulthood. Both sessions will
  be at the Peoria Public Library- Lakeview Branch\, 1137 W. Lake Ave.\, in
  Peoria.\n\nThis workshop will focus on IEP planning and development. Topi
 cs will include:\n\n 	Tips for effectively participating in IEP meetings\n
  	Transition in the IEP\n 	The transition components of employment\, indep
 endent living\, postsecondary education or training\, and community involv
 ement\n\nPart two of the workshop is "Transition from School to Adult Serv
 ices" on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Peoria Public Library - La
 keview Branch.\n\nSee the informational flyer for both workshops.\n\nRegis
 ter online to attend these workshops. The deadline to register is Sept. 10
 .\n\nPlease register early. A minimum of 15 people must sign up for the pr
