SUMMARY:IL-LEND Parent Education Workshop Series for DSCC Families
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nAn online space for parents of DSCC participants to 
 learn about important topics\, gain resources and discuss strategies\n\nA 
 new webinar series provides an online space for parents and caregivers to 
 access educational workshops\, learn about resources and discuss strategie
 s and support needs.\n\nThe series is open to all parents and caregivers o
 f children enrolled with the University of Illinois Chicago’s Division o
 f Specialized Care for Children (DSCC).\n\nIt’s the result of a partners
 hip between DSCC and UIC’s Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopment
 al and related Disabilities Program (IL LEND).\n\nThere is no cost for fa
 milies to participate.\n\nThe virtual workshops will take place via Zoom o
 n the third Wednesday of the month through April from 7 to 8 p.m.\n\nThe t
 opic for the Feb.16 session is Early Intervention. The guest speaker is Ma
 ria Kastanis\, assistant director of the Early Intervention Training Progr
 am (EITP) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.\n\nThe detail
