SUMMARY:Illinois Mission of Mercy
DESCRIPTION:Dental professionals will provide free\, basic dental care to 
 adults and children.\n\nThe Illinois State Dental Society Foundation's Mis
 sion of Mercy will be at the Bank of Springfield Center in Springfield on 
 July 20-21. The event aims to serve uninsured\, underinsured and low-incom
 e families in need of dental services\, but there are no income eligibilit
 y requirements. Anyone can receive treatment.\n\nEmphasis will be on basic
  dental care\, such as fillings\, extractions and cleanings. Not all denta
 l services will be available.\n\nNo appointments will be taken\, and care 
 if provided on a first-come\, first-served basis.\n\nDoors open at 6 a.m.\
 n\nThis year's event will include a "Veterans First" program. U.S. militar
 y veterans will have a chance to be first in line from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. o
 n July 20. To secure a spot in line\, veterans must first register at the
  Sangamon County Veterans Assistance Commission prior to July 19 and then 
 report for pre-screening from 1 to 4 p.m. July 19 at the Bank of Springfi
 eld Center. The Veteran Assistance Commission is open weekdays from 8:30 a
 .m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sangamon County government building at 200 S. Nint
