DESCRIPTION:Free monthly support group for families with children with auti
 sm\n\nJoin the Illinois Center for Autism's (ICA) Monthly Support Group Me
 eting featuring the Parent Teacher Organization for Exceptional Children (
 PTOEC) on May 28 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.\n\nThe support group meets on the
  third or fourth Wednesday of each month. Participants learn about a diffe
 rent topic and can attend meetings virtually or in person.\n\nIt can be di
 fficult getting children with autism involved in different activities for 
 various reasons. One of the biggest reasons can be the fear of how our chi
 ld will react or how others will react to our child.\n\nLearn about PTOEC 
 and the different services and opportunities it provides.\n\nWhether you a
 re looking for your child to participate in a sporting activity like Speci
 al Olympics or a more social activity like a Friday evening dance\, PTOEC 
 has much to choose from.\n\nYou can join Carolyn Short in person at the Fa
