SUMMARY:Keshet Avodah Corps at Camp Chi
DESCRIPTION:A camp experience for older teens and young adults with disabil
 ities that combines work-related activities with camp recreation\n\nJCC Ch
 icago and Keshet are partners in providing opportunities for children and 
 adults with disabilities. These opportunities include a variety of day\, o
 vernight and family camps throughout the summer at Camp Chi located on Lak
 e Delton in Wisconsin.\n\nKeshet Avodah Corps at Camp Chi is for youth and
  young adults from 10th grade to 21 years old who want to work and enjoy c
 amp life.\n\nSessions run from two to eight weeks from June to August.\n\n
 Due to the many different camps and opportunities available\, Keshet Avoda
 h Corps at Camp Chi requests that interested campers complete an informati
 on form to best match their interests with the opportunities available.

 p Chi combines work-related activities with camp recreation. Avodah member
 s are staff at Camp Chi and live alongside other participants while gainin
 g valuable life skills and work experience.\n\nWork assignments and job co
 aches are assigned based on an individual participant’s interests and ab
 ilities. Past examples of jobs include:\n\n 	Working in the office and sor
 ting mail\n 	Helping groom horses at the stables\n 	Assisting in the art c
 enter\n 	Setting up the dining hall for meals\n 	Overseeing the camp garde
 n\n 	Preparing Perlstein Retreat Center for guests\n\nThere’s plenty of 
 time for fun\, too\, with daily swimming\, fitness\, campfires\, sports an
 d more!\n\nThe Camp Chi website has more information and the camper intere
 st form.\n\nThe camp features an inclusion coordinator who meets with fami
 lies to understand the camper’s needs and make sure that they are met.\n
