DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nLearn mindfulness strategies to help cope with stres
 s\, enhance your relationships\, and improve your overall health and well-
 being.\n\n"Learn To Be Mindful" is a new virtual program for adults with d
 evelopmental disabilities and their siblings.\n\nYou can learn mindfulness
  strategies to help cope with stress\, enhance your relationships and impr
 ove your overall health and wellbeing.\n\nYou can participate in the mindf
 ulness series by learning through the self-paced course and/or participati
 ng in the live Zoom sessions. You can log in to the self-paced course at a
 ny time convenient for you to learn strategies to enhance your life. Then\
 , you can connect with others in a community of learning during the live Z
 oom sessions.\n\nThe third live Zoom session is scheduled for Feb. 16 at 7
  p.m. The topic is "Living and committing to a life you value."\n\nTo regi
 ster and learn more about the program\, visit the Sibling Leadership Netwo
 rk website.\n\nWhile you are encouraged to complete the self-paced course 
 before attending a live Zoom session\, it is not required.\n\nYou can part
 icipate in all three topics or choose one or two. You do not need to parti
 cipate in Session 1 in order to participate in Sessions 2 or 3.\n\nThis pr
 oject is a partnership of the Sibling Leadership Network\, the Cognition B
 ehavior and Mindfulness Clinic at the University of Illinois at Chicago\, 
 the Illinois Self-Advocacy Alliance\, and The Arc of Illinois. Funding is 
 provided in part by NCHPAD.\n\nOrganizers encourage siblings to participat
 e with their brothers and sisters with disabilities\, though it is not req
 uired.\n\nGroups are welcome to participate\, such as friends who live tog
 ether at a group home or other group setting. Service providers can regist
 er and support groups to participate.
