SUMMARY:Northern Conference for Illinois Parents of Children with Vision Lo

DESCRIPTION:Free event offers in-depth discussions\, experts in the field
  and insights from fellow parents.\n\nThe Northern Illinois Vision Confer
 ence will take place April 20 at Kankakee Community College.\n\nThe eve
 nt is for parents of children ages birth through 21 to join in-depth discu
 ssions of use topics and learn from experts in the field as well as from f
 ellow parents. Children must be at least 12 years old to attend.\n\nThe co
 nference program will include the following topics and sessions:\n\n 	Blin
 dness versus low vision\n 	Social/emotional needs\n 	IEP and transition\n 
 	Orientation and mobility\n\nThe conference is free to attend. Service pro
 viders are also welcome to attend and will be able to earn professional cr
 edits.\n\nThe registration deadline is April 15. For more details\, includ
