 owerment Awareness Foundation) is hosting the 1904 Deaf Film Festival onl
 ine from Aug. 22 through Sept. 9.\n\nThe 1904 Film Festival was created to
  honor the inspiration and vision of former renowned National Association 
 of the Deaf (NAD) President Dr. James L. Smith\, who strongly advocated to
  preserve sign language at NAD’s sixth national convention during the 19
 04 World's Fair in St. Louis.\n\nThis year's 1904 Deaf Film Festival will 
 honor his vision and champion over 20 emerging deaf filmmakers and their p
