DESCRIPTION:Opportunity for college-bound students ages 14 to 19 who are de
 af or hard of hearing to explore their career interest in science\, techno
 logy\, engineering and math (STEM)\n\nJoin the Rochester Institute of Tech
 nology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf and the Illinois Depa
 rtment of Human Services (DHS)\, Division of Rehabilitation Services\, for
  Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) -Illinois STEM Week on June 
 23 to 28 at Illinois State University in Normal.\n\nThe program is open to
  all eligible Illinois high school students ages 14 to 19 who are deaf or 
 hard of hearing. Students must have approval from DHS Department of Vocati
 onal Rehabilitation.\n\nStudents will:\n\n 	Get hands-on experience in tec
 hnology and specialized skills\n 	Build confidence and develop decision-ma
 king skills\n 	Participate in unique and interesting engineering challenge
 s\n 	Make new friends from throughout Illinois and have fun\n\nStudents wi
 ll also have an opportunity to work with career counselors and faculty in 
 small group settings to determine their interests and explore STEM career
