SUMMARY:Saturday Clubs Program for Teens and Young Adults in Springfield
DESCRIPTION:A series of free classes for freshman through college-age stude
 nts who want to learn new skills\, such as cooking\, music and creating ar
 t\n\nSession two of the Third Presbyterian Church's Saturday Clubs Program
  will begin on April 9.\n\nClasses will meet for two hours each week on Ap
 ril 9\, 16\, 23 and 30 at Third Presbyterian Church\, 1030 North Seventh S
 t.\, in Springfield.\n\nParticipants must register for either morning (10 
 a.m. - 12 p.m.) or afternoon (1-3 p.m.) classes.\n\nThe Saturday Clubs Pro
 gram is a great place to make friends\, learn new skills and explore your 
 interests in cooking\, art and music. Classes are being offered in:\n\n 	C
 ooking - prepare several tasty dishes while learning about the names and u
 ses of kitchen pots\, pans\, utensils and appliances. Kitchen safety and p
 roper sanitary handling of food will also be covered.\n 	Music - learn bas
 ic music terms and how to read music. Explore music over the ages and look
  at the varieties of music genres. Learn how to direct a choral or an inst
 rumental group. The class will also create a piece of music.\n 	Art from U
 pcycling - this class is a partnership with the Springfield Art Associatio
 n and Creative Reuse Marketplace. Participants will use recycled materials
  to plan a variety of arts and crafts projects while learning about area r
 ecycling programs.\n\nYouth must be at least a freshman in high school to 
 participate.\n\nRegister and get more information at the Third Presbyteria
