DESCRIPTION:Overnight camp opportunities for children and young adults with
  intellectual disabilities ages 8-23\n\nSpecial Camps is an overnight\, al
 l-volunteer-run camp for children and adults with intellectual disabilitie
 s.\n\nWhile families and caregivers get a week-long respite\, trained staf
 f and 24-hour nursing provide a safe place for campers to explore new oppo
 rtunities encouraging independence\, self-esteem and friendships.\n\nSpeci
 al Camps 2024 overnight session for children and young adults will be held
  on June 9 – 14. This session is for campers ages 8 to 22. Youth will be
  divided into groups for ages 8 – 13 and ages 14 – 23.\n\nThis year's 
 Special Camps will be held at Camp Red Leaf in Ingleside where campers wil
 l enjoy activities\, including:\n\n 	Swimming in a heated pool\n 	A rope c
 ourse\,climbing wall and zipline\n 	Archery and outdoor sports\n 	Canoeing
  and fishing\n 	Arts and crafts\n 	Hayrides\, campfire songs and s’mores
 \n\nThe cost is $450 per session. Partial scholarships may be available.\n
