DESCRIPTION:New monthly clinic for all children with a special needs diagno
 sis.\n\nMercyhealth Hospital -Rockton Avenue is starting a monthly pedia
 tric special needs clinic. The first clinic starts on Jan. 24 on the four
 th floor of Building 2 on the Mercyhealth-Rockton Avenue campus. The clin
 ic will be held the fourth Wednesday of the month.\n\nThe clinic will serv
 e patients from birth to age 18 with a variety of special needs\, includin
 g spina bifida\, chromosomal diagnoses\, developmental/motor delays\, brac
 ing\, gait disturbances\, neonatal intensive care unit graduates and patie
 nts with chronic illnesses that affect motor function.\n\nPediatric specia
 lists available for consult include:\n\n 	Orthopedic Surgery\n 	Rehabilita
 tion Medicine\n 	Neurology\n 	Orthotics\n 	Physical Therapy\n 	Occupationa
 l Therapy\n 	Social Services\n 	Social Support Groups\n 	Coordination with
  Rockford Spine Center\n\nUIC Division of Specialized Care for Children st
 aff will also be present to explain our services and assist families with
