SUMMARY:Summer Hockey Camp for Players with Hearing Loss
DESCRIPTION:Camp for male and female hockey players with an established he
 aring loss.\n\nSponsored by the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Associati
 on (AHIHA)\, the camp is for youth beginners through college-level ability
  players. The 2018 camp dates are June 9 through June 16.\n\nPlayers atten
 ding the camp have the opportunity to work with a number of USA Hockey qua
 lified coaches in on-ice skills\, systems of play and fundamentals of ska
 ting\, along with off-ice conditioning. The players are placed on a team
  based on age\, ability and experience. All the teams play games against o
 utside competition during the week of the camp. There is also a program fo
 r beginning players.  They concentrate on skating skills and beginning ho
 ckey skills.\n\nAHIHA will provide bus transportation daily to transport t
 he hockey players and their families\, to and from the ice arena from the 
 host hotel and back. AHIHA also provides three evening meals during the we
 ek and a buffet breakfast every morning.  There is a Closing Reception fo
 llowing the Awards Ceremony on the last day of the camp.\n\nHockey Camp p
 articipants are responsible for travel and accommodations\, meals (that ar
 e not provided by AHIHA) and transportation other than the bus.\n\nVisit t
