DESCRIPTION:A free\, virtual transition to adulthood training series for Il
 linois parents/caregivers of youth with autism autism spectrum disorder (A
 SD) ages 14 to 22\n\nJoin The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP) for the n
 ext Advocating for Supports to Improve Service Transitions (ASSIST) virtu
 al training program “Post-Secondary Education" on Feb. 12 from 6 to 8 p.
 m. Classes meet on Zoom on Mondays at 6 p.m.\n\nTransitioning from school-
 based to adult service systems is challenging for many families of youth o
 n the autism spectrum. The TAP ASSIST webinar series aims to give caregiv
 ers information\, understanding and the tools for navigating their journey
 .\n\nThis session will give an overview of education and job training opti
 ons following high school (post-secondary education).\n\nPresenter Jill Fa
 hy is the director of STEP (Students with Autism Transitional Education Pr
 ogram) and a professor in the Department of Communication Disorders and Sc
 iences at Eastern Illinois University. She is an author and nationally kno
 wn speaker on the evaluation and treatment of executive dysfunction.\n\nWe
 binars run through May 13 and cover a wide range of topics including:\n\n 
 	The transition to adulthood process\n 	Navigating adult services\n 	Advoc
 ating for teens with autism\n\nEach session features an expert-led present
 ation and time for discussion and questions.\n\nRegister for the Post-Seco
