DESCRIPTION:A camp for girls who are interested in learning about science a
 nd technology\,  in grades 7\, 8 or 9 and who are deaf or hard of hearing
 \n\nThe National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is hosting TechGi
 rlz from July 23 to 28.  The camp is held at the National Technical Insti
 tute for the Deaf on the Rochester Institute of Technology campus in Roche
 ster\, New York.\n\nTechGirlz is a week-long summer camp for deaf or hard-
 of-hearing girls entering grades 7\, 8\, or 9 who are interested in scienc
 e\, technology\, engineering and math. Camp classes are taught in English 
 and in sign language.\n\nCampers will use state-of-the-art technology to c
 reate a high-tech gadget to take home\, conduct laboratory experiments and
  more.\n\nVisit the NTID website for information on the application proces
 s and frequently asked questions about the camp.\n\nThe cost is $700\, whi
 ch includes housing in a residence hall and food for the week. Limited fin
 ancial assistance is available based on financial need.\n\nSign up online 
 to apply. Registration and payment for camp must be received by May 15.\n\
