SUMMARY:The Future Begins Today Resource Fair in Palatine
DESCRIPTION:Free informational event for parents and guardians of individua
 ls with a wide range of developmental disabilities and mental health needs
 \n\nJoin Township High School 211\, Barrington Community Unit 220 and Town
 ship High School 214 school districts and the Northwest Suburban Special E
 ducation Organization (NSSEO) for "The Future Begins Today" on April 22.\n
 \nThe event will include a live presentation and resource fair. The schedu
 le will be:\n\n 	6 to 6:30 p.m. - Keynote presentation on supported employ
 ment in the Wojcik Conference Center\, Building W\n 	6:30 to 8 p.m. - Reso
 urce fair in Building A\, second-floor entrance\n\nStart your evening lear
 ning about supported employment. Department of Human Services Supported Em
 ployment Administrator Casey Burke will provide an overview of options and
  what you need to know.\n\nNext\, head over to the transition fair. More t
 han 40 adult service providers and community resource agencies will be on 
 hand to answer your questions and provide information on topics including:
 \n\n 	Financial planning\n 	Job skills training\n 	Post-secondary educatio
 n options\n 	Residential and independent living options\n 	Home-based opti
 ons\n 	Transportation\n 	Recreation and leisure programs\n\nDivision of Sp
 ecialized Care for Children (DSCC) team members from our Lombard Regional 
 Office will be there to explain how we help children and youth with specia
 l healthcare needs and their families.\n\nPlease stop by our table to ask 
 questions and pick up a variety of resources for the transition to adulth
 ood for youth and young adults with special healthcare needs.\n\nSee the

 \nAttendees should park in Lot 14 using the Roselle Road campus entrance. 
 Volunteers will help guide guests to the fair following the keynote speake
