DESCRIPTION:Free training in Charleston for parents\, caregivers and guardi
 ans of youth ages 10 and older with a disability.\n\nThe East Central Illi
 nois Transition and Planning Committee invites families and caregivers t
 o attend this free training on the changes that puberty and adolescence br
 ing to every child.\n\nThe training is for parents\, caregivers and guardi
 ans of individuals ages 10 years and older with a mild\, moderate or sever
 e disability.\n\nThe information provided is intended to help participants
  feel more comfortable and confident as they help their child/individual s
 afely navigate this important transition from childhood to adulthood.\n\nW
 orkshop Objectives:\n\n 	Learn basic information that can be used to help 
 the individual with a disability understand the physical\, emotional and s
 ocial changes of puberty and adolescence.\n 	Learn how some disabilities i
 mpact puberty and adolescent development and social skills.\n 	Learn one o
 r more strategies that can be used at home to explain puberty\, teach a ne
 w personal care or social skill.\n 	Leave with an action plan listing next
  steps.\n 	Know where you can go for more information.\n\nThe deadline to
