DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for young artists with disabilities to explore t
 he dramatic arts and their creative talents\n\nThe Penguin Project of McLe
 an County invites youth and their parents to their "2023 Info Meeting" on 
 Jan. 17 from 6 to 7 p.m.\n\nThe meeting will be at the Normal Activity Cen
 ter\, 1110 Douglas St.\, in Normal.\n\nParents/guardians and participants 
 can hear the show announcement excitement and find out what's planned for 
 the 2023 season!\n\nThe Penguin Project provides a supportive environment 
 for children ages 10 to 24 with disabilities to explore their creative tal
 ents. Children with cognitive\, learning\, motor\, hearing and visual impa
 irments\, genetic disorders and neurological disorders are matched with ag
 e level peer-mentors. Peer-mentors\, ages 12 to 24\, work alongside their 
 partners throughout the entire rehearsal process and on stage provide dire
 ct assistance only as needed.\n\nMeeting participants will receive applica
