SUMMARY:Touch a Truck Event in Belleville
DESCRIPTION:Free event at the Belleville Police Department for children of 
 all ages and abilities and their families\n\nJoin the Belleville Police De
 partment for Belleville's first annual Touch a Truck Event on April 20 fro
 m 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.\n\nThe event will include a sensory-friendly quiet hou
 r from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. During that time\, there will be no sirens\, hor
 ns or lights.\n\nPeople of all ages and abilities can see and touch many b
 ig trucks and equipment and meet the people who serve their community.\n\n
 Belleville's first ever Touch a Truck event will provide children and indi
 viduals who are nonverbal or have autism or other disabilities an opportun
 ity to:\n\n 	Meet first responders\, firefighters and law enforcement offi
 cials face-to-face\n 	Ask questions and see the uniforms\, trucks and othe
 r vehicles up close\n 	Get more comfortable with the vehicles and people i
 n uniforms\n\nParents and caregivers can also register their children with
  911 dispatch. Registering with 911 Dispatch can help during an emergency 
 situation if your child wanders off or needs help by quickly providing fir
 st responders with basic information and a photo of your child. Registrati
 on is easy and a photographer will be available to take your child's photo
 .\n\nActivities will also include:\n\n 	Family resources\n 	Police swag\n 
 	Tour of the police department and patrol cars\n 	Food trucks\n\nSee the T
