DESCRIPTION:Information and resources for high school districts with disabi
 lities and their parents.\n\nThe Northern Illinois Transition Planning Com
 mittee is hosting the 2019 Transition Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Apr
 il 16 at Highland Community College in Freeport.\n\nThe event is for high 
 school juniors and seniors with disabilities and their parents who are int
 erested in learning more about transitioning from high school to college\,
  employment and independent living.\n\nThe event will include:\n\n 	Speake
 r Jacob Woods sharing his personal experience transitioning from high scho
 ol to college\, employment and independent living.\n 	An introduction to H
 ighland Community College and support services.\n 	A panel discussion cov
 ering the topic of transition from high school to adulthood.\n 	Booths to 
 connect with area agencies.\n\nUIC's Division of Specialized Care for Chil
 dren staff will be there to explain how we partner with families to help t
 heir children with special healthcare needs connect to services and resou
