SUMMARY:Turning Pointe Autism Foundation's Career Development Camp
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nVirtual programming in independent living\, social c
 ommunication and employability skills for youth ages 16 and older with aut
 ism spectrum disorder\n\nTurning Pointe Autism Foundation has created a hy
 brid learning experience that combines virtual lessons and mock interviews
  with hands-on employability training from home.\n\nThe Career Development
  Camp will take place June 19 to July 31 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.\n\nThe 
 camp is broken down into three sessions: independent living\, social commu
 nication and employability:\n\n 	Session 1 - Independent Living - June 19 
 to July 2\n 	Session 2 - Social Communication - July 6-17\n 	Session 3 - E
 mployability - July 20-31\n\nIt is for individuals affected by autism spec
 trum disorders who are 16 and older.\n\nDuring the independent living sess
 ion\, students learn pre-employment hygiene\, housekeeping\, food preparat
 ion\, time management\, and money management.\n\nStudents in the social co
 mmunication session focus on asking and answering questions\, socializing 
 on a team\, understanding emotions\, social etiquette\, and teamwork.\n\nI
 n the employability session\, students learn about skills and expectations
  working in the community\, identifying job skills and interests\, job int
 erview preparedness\, positive attitudes in the workplace\, completing a j
 ob application and more.\n\nTo accommodate the Governor’s social distanc
 ing orders\, the 2020 summer camp will be offered through virtual instruct
 ion at a discounted rate.\n\nMore information\, including fees and the app
