DESCRIPTION:A free\, two-part virtual conference for parents of children wh
 o are deaf and hard of hearing and professionals who work with their child
 ren\n\nThe Illinois School for the Deaf Outreach will host the Virtual 202
 4 Conference for Parents of Children Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing on t
 wo dates:\n\n 	April 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.\n 	April 27 from 9 a.m. to 
 12 p.m.\n\nEach date will feature two different topics.\n\nThe four sessio
 ns will cover:\n\n 	Zones of regulation\n 	Growing up Deaf\n 	"Sibshops" a
 nd sibling mental health\n 	Parent self-care\n\nThe conference is free and
  open to parents\, caregivers and families of children who are deaf or har
 d of hearing. Teachers and professionals serving deaf youth are also welco
 me to attend.\n\nThe conference is parent-safe\, meaning the topic of ampl
 ification or communication choices is not discussed. All families are enco

 ill also be in-person family gathering events following the conference. Yo
