DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nFree event for professionals and the public from the
  Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood\n\nThe Illinois Council on Res
 ponsible Fatherhood (ICRF) will present its 2021 annual symposium on June 
 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. via Zoom.\n\nThe council is a state board established 
 in 2004 to promote paternal involvement\, particularly by single and divor
 ced fathers\, in the upbringing of their children.\n\nThe lineup of speake
 rs includes leading figures in sports\, law\, advocacy\, law enforcement\,
  religion\, health and politics.\n\n“This symposium each year puts the f
 ocus on the important work we do to support and promote fathers\, whose va
 lue in raising children cannot be overestimated\,” says ICRF Chairman Je
 ffery M. Leving.\n\nThe lineup of speakers is:\n\n 	 Opening remarks by C
 hairman Leving.\n 	 Desmond Clark\, former Chicago Bears tight end\, talk
 ing about his experience as a divorced dad.\n 	 State Rep. LaShawn K. For
 d\, speaking about what’s happening on the fatherhood front in Springfie
 ld.\n 	 Adam Ballard\, a dad with disabilities who will speak on the chal
 lenges confronting fathers with disabilities.\n 	 Attorney Arthur S. Kall
 ow\, a board member for the Fatherhood Educational Institute.\n 	 Matthew
  Stanton\, division chief for the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Offic
 e\, speaking on his journey as a father and fatherhood and conviction inte
 grity.\n 	 Erin Smitley\, registered dietitian at Sara Bush Lincoln Healt
 h System in Mattoon\, with suggestions for fathers who have to prepare mea
 ls for their kids.\n 	 Rev. David Philemon\, a dynamic pastor in Cicero w
 ho feels strongly about the need for fathers in raising children.\n\nThe e
 vent is free and available to the public. The intended audience includes:\
