SUMMARY:Virtual Summer Assessment Program for Deaf-Blind Youth
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nPre-Employment Services for Transition-Age Youth Who
  Are Deaf-Blind\n\nThe Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths 
 and Adults is providing a Virtual Summer Assessment Program during the mon
 ths of June\, July and August.\n\nThe assessment program offers a comprehe
 nsive virtual assessment designed to offer information and practical exper
 ience to expand participant’s awareness\, knowledge\, skill and confiden
 ce.\n\nThe eight-week Virtual Summer Assessment Program will offer opportu
 nities to gain knowledge and experience in the following areas:\n\n 	Caree
 r and Job Exploration\n 	Virtual Worksite Tours\n 	Workplace Readiness Ski
 lls\n 	Counseling on Post-Secondary Education\n 	Adaptive Technology\n 	Se
 lf-Advocacy - Facilitate IEP\n 	Orientation &amp\; Mobility\n 	Low Vision 
 and Audiology\n 	Communication\n\nAlong with the assessment areas\, partic
 ipants may choose to join peer-learning groups such as:\n\n 	Emergency Pre
 paredness\n 	Living on Your Own\n 	Savvy Shopper\n 	Coping with COVID-19 S
