SUMMARY:Virtual - Supporting Siblings for Parents\, Caregivers and Siblings
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nA free\, virtual support group for siblings and care
 givers/parents of youth with autism\, developmental disabilities and/or me
 ntal health challenges\n\nAutism Speaks is hosting its next "Supporting Si
 blings" chat via Zoom on Sept. 7 at 5:30 p.m. Groups meet on the first Thu
 rsday of each month.\n\nSupporting Siblings provides three different sessi
 ons to meet the needs of each group.\n\nSiblings will meet other children 
 and teens who know what it's like to have a brother or sister with behavio
 ral challenges. Siblings ages 6 to 18 are welcome to join this virtual saf
 e space led by psychiatrists and trainees at UMass Chan Medical School to:
 \n\n 	Talk together\n 	Learn coping skills\n 	Feel better\n\nParents/careg
 ivers joining for the first time will meet with a trained parent mentor fo
 r an overview of the importance of and strategies for supporting siblings.
 \n\nReturning parents/caregivers will join a session led by a social worke
 r that will include:\n\n 	Time for sharing\n 	Addressing ongoing family ch
 allenges that impact siblings\n\nParents/caregivers can attend even if sib
 lings do not and vice versa.\n\nThe Supporting Siblings 2023 program is fr
 ee. All participants must register and sign an online consent form.\n\nCon
