 an service providers on helping our kids after the pandemic\n\nThe We Are 
 Parents webinar series\,  hosted by the McLean County Health Department a
 nd Carle\,  continues with "Reading for Mental Health" on Feb. 17 from 12
  to 12:50 p.m.\n\nReading to and with children from birth can improve a ch
 ild’s language\, speech and learning abilities. Choosing books that have
  a social and/or emotional message or theme can also help kids with their 
 mental health and wellness.\n\nPresenter Cris Hawk (Stanek) will talk abou
 t how books can help improve a child’s mental health. Her discussion wil
 l include:\n\n 	The benefits of social and emotional learning\n 	How to ch
 oose stories with social/emotional themes\n 	A list of books that are reco
 mmended reading\n\nMany of the books on her list may be available at your 
 local libraries.\n\nCris is a licensed clinical social worker\, long-time 
 member of the McLean County AOK Network and currently serves as a children
 ’s mental health consultant at The Baby Fold.\n\nThis is the fourth webi
 nar in this series focusing on the pandemic's impact and how we can help o
