It is estimated that if t he work of these caregivers had to be duplicated by paid staff\, the cost to the state would be $1.3 billion.\n\nRespite care is a gift of time for the caregiver\, alleviating stress and improving relationships.\n\nAlexis Ivanic will provide participants with information about the Illinois Respi te Coalition (IRC)\, a not-for-profit organization of caregivers and respi te providers dedicated to:\n\n Increasing public awareness of the importa nce of “Lifespan Respite”\n Promoting education and training for fami lies and providers of respite services\n Advocating for caregivers by ens uring access to quality respite services\n\nThis webinar is designed to pr ovide information related to the transition process as well as life in the community after educational entitlements end.\n\nThe event is free but re gistration is required by April 6.\n\nRegister online for this webinar.\n\ nA Zoom link will be sent out a day before the event.
