 s Rental Payment Program\n\nThe Illinois Housing Development Authority's (
 IHDA) 2021 Illinois Rental Payment Program is an emergency rental assistan
 ce program designed to support households in Illinois that are unable to p
 ay rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic.\n\nThe program can provide up to $25
 \,000 in emergency rental assistance. The IHDA will begin accepting applic
 ations for the program on May 17.\n\nHousing Action Illinois is hosting a 
 free webinar on the program's launch day to give an in-depth tutorial of t
 he online application process for both housing providers and tenants.\n\nT
 he webinar is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 17.\n\nA member o
 f IHDA's Strategic Response leadership team will be available to answer qu
