 ilities greater financial independence\n\nJoin the University of Illinois 
 Chicago's Institute on Disability &amp\; Human Development Webinar Series 
 for "IL ABLE: A Tool to Help Build Financial Wellness for People with Disa
 bilities" on Sept. 21 from 12 to 1 p.m.\n\nIllinois Achieving a Better Lif
 e Experience (IL ABLE) accounts give people with disabilities greater fina
 ncial independence while preserving federal benefits. IL ABLE is a savings
  and investment plan that makes it possible for people with disabilities a
 nd their families to save and invest their money for expenses related to l
 iving with a disability.\n\nIL ABLE accounts can help solve a long-time pr
 edicament that many people with disabilities face: how to build financial 
 wellness without risking federal government benefits like Supplemental Sec
 urity Income (SSI) and Medicaid.\n\nStephanie Kanter\, who works with the 
 Illinois Treasurer’s Office as the deputy director of IL ABLE\, will hel
 p participants understand account basics and how an IL ABLE account can in
 crease the financial independence of many individuals.\n\nTopics will incl
