DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nFree educational training for transition-age youth a
 nd their parents/guardians\n\nThe Southern Illinois Transition Project is 
 hosting a free educational training webinar on the transition from school 
 to adult services. "Mapping Dreams: The Transition to Adulthood" is schedu
 led for 6 to 8 p.m. on March 16.\n\nThe training is for transition-age you
 th ages 14 1/2 to 21 years old who receive special education services and 
 their parents/guardians.\n\nParticipants will learn about:\n\n 	Transition
  in the individualized education program (IEP)\n 	The transition component
 s of employment\, post-secondary education or training\, and independent l
 iving\n 	The transfer of parental rights\n 	The Summary of Performance\n\n
 Registration is available online. The deadline to sign up is March 15.\n\
