 Through Physical Activity" on May 21 from 12 to 1 p.m.\n\nChildren with au
 tism often experience delays in motor and social communicative skills.\n\n
 Speaker Catherine Cheung\, PT\, PhD\, will discuss the relationship betwee
 n motor and communication skills and guide participants through:\n\n 	Iden
 tifying the characteristics and the correlation of motor and communication
 s skills\n 	Creating an engaging environment and implementing physical act
 ivities in inclusive classes\n 	Adapting activities for children with auti
 sm to maximize their participation\n\nCatherine is an assistant professor 
 in the physical therapy program at Northern Illinois University and a rese
 archer focusing on structured motor programs to facilitate motor\, social\
 , communication and adaptive behavior skills for children with disabilitie
 s (including autism).\n\nThis free presentation is part of the  TAP\, IDH
