 n)" on April 6 from 12 - 1:30 p.m.\n\nAugmentative and alternative communi
 cation (AAC) is any form of communication that enhances or supplements ver
 bal speech or written language. This family-focused workshop will discuss 
 the many ways that a child communicates and how to identify if your child 
 may benefit from AAC.\n\nPresenter Heather Miller Schwarz\, M.S.\, CCC-SLP
 \, will discuss tools\, strategies and myths that will be helpful for part
 icipants to know as they begin to explore the exciting options of AAC.\n\n
 Schwarz is a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience 
 working with individuals with complex communication needs. She has worked 
 in public school\, private practice and non-profit settings and has partic
 ipated as a member of IEP and assistive technology teams. Her areas of int
 erest continue to include pediatric speech-language disorders and assistiv
 e technology for individuals of all ages and abilities.\n\nRegister for Pa
