 nd What to Ask" on April 13 from 12 - 1:30 p.m.\n\nAugmentative and altern
 ative communication (AAC) is any form of communication that enhances or su
 pplements verbal speech or written language.\n\nNow that you and your edu
 cational team have identified that your child may benefit from augmentativ
 e and alternative communication (AAC)\, what is next?\n\nPresenter Heather
  Miller Schwarz\, M.S.\, CCC-SLP\, will walk families through the next ste
 ps and what to expect during the AAC assessment process. Participants will
  learn about and discuss:\n\n 	The feature/match assessment\n 	Strategies 
 that you can employ while trying systems at home\n 	Helpful definitions to
  know along the way\n\nSchwarz is a speech-language pathologist with over 
 20 years of experience working with individuals with complex communication
  needs. She has worked in public school\, private practice and non-profit 
 settings and has participated as a member of IEP and assistive technology 
 teams. Her areas of interest continue to include pediatric speech-language
  disorders and assistive technology for individuals of all ages and abilit
